Types of brake motors

YT1 and BYT1 Series Electric Hydraulic Thrusters
YT1 series thrusters integrate an electric motor, centrifugal pump and hydraulic cylinder into a compact drive unit. BYT1 series models are designed for explosion-proof applications. Selection depends on thrust, stroke, brake type, protection requirements and installation conditions.
YBOZ Series Three-Phase Asynchronous Motors
YBOZ three-phase asynchronous motors are used for industrial equipment drive applications, including lifting and metallurgical machinery. The standard configuration is 380 V, 50 Hz, with other voltage options available according to requirements. Selection should consider motor power, voltage, protection class and operating conditions.
Working Principle of Brake Motors
Brake motors and electro-hydraulic thrusters convert electrical power into mechanical or hydraulic force to operate industrial braking systems. The working process depends on the drive unit and the brake configuration.
Power Drive and Energy Conversion
When power is supplied, the motor produces mechanical motion. In an electro-hydraulic thruster, the motor drives a hydraulic pump, generating pressure that moves the piston and produces the thrust required to operate the brake.
Brake Actuation and Control
The generated force is transferred to the brake mechanism through the connecting system. Depending on the brake design, the action either applies the brake to stop or hold the equipment or releases the brake for normal operation.
Power-Off Braking Function
For fail-safe braking systems, the brake moves to the braking position when power is removed. A spring or mechanical reset mechanism applies the braking force, helping keep the equipment stopped during power failure or drive shutdown.
