BYT1 Series Explosion-Proof Electro-Hydraulic Thruster

Purpose and Characteristics

Purpose:The BYT1 series explosion-proof electro-hydraulic thruster (hereinafter referred to as "the thruster") is primarily designed for electro-hydraulic drum brakes installed on coal mine belt conveyors and mine hoisting equipment. It is also capable of driving lever mechanisms of various types, to power reciprocating, oscillating, and rotary motions.

 

Characteristics:This thruster serves as an ideal component for realizing semi-automation and full automation of relevant mechanical equipment. Its piston rod is equipped with advanced protective treatment, which effectively reduces wear and corrosion, and significantly extends the service life of the thruster. The thruster boasts such advantages as smooth and noiseless operation, low power consumption, long service life, and convenient maintenance. This product complies with the enterprise standard Q/JXD03-2024.

Operating Conditions:

  • The installation altitude shall not exceed 1,000 m.
  • Ambient air temperature range: -20 °C to 40 °C.
  • Maximum allowable relative humidity of ambient air: ≤ 95% (at 25 °C); alternatively, the monthly average maximum relative humidity for the wettest month shall not exceed 90%, with the monthly average minimum temperature for the same month not exceeding 25 °C.
  • Suitable for applications in underground coal mines, open-pit coal mines, and coal preparation plants.
  • The product is rated for Pollution Degree 3. All operating conditions shall comply with the provisions of the Coal Mine Safety Regulations.

Working conditions

Power Supply and Operating Duty Cycle: The power supply is three-phase alternating current (AC) with a rated frequency of 50 Hz, and rated voltages of 380 V, 660 V, and 1140 V. The allowable voltage fluctuation range shall not exceed -15% to +10% of the rated value.The operating duty cycles include continuous operation (S1) and intermittent periodic operation (S3). For the intermittent periodic operation (S3), the load duration rate shall not exceed 60%.

Structure and working principle

The BYT1 series thrusters are mainly composed of an explosion-proof electric motor and a hydraulic cylinder (including the cylinder barrel, piston, and impeller). When powered on, the motor rotates to drive the impeller, which generates pressure oil; the pressure oil then drives the piston and connecting rod to move upward, and maintains the thrust load once the rated stroke is reached. When power is cut off, the motor and impeller stop rotating, and the piston and connecting rod return to their initial position under external force.

Product Technical Features

Working current

When the thruster is operated at rated frequency, voltage, and load to reach the rated stroke, its operating current shall not exceed the rated current specified in Tables 1 and 2.

Rise and fall time

When the thruster is installed vertically and operated at rated frequency, voltage, and load, its rise and fall time shall not exceed the action time specified in Tables 1 and 2.

Maximum thrust

When the thruster is installed vertically and operated at rated frequency and voltage, its maximum thrust shall not be less than 1.25 times the rated thrust specified in Tables 1 and 2.

The matched electric motor is equipped with an explosion-proof qualification certificate and a safety mark certificate.

Thrust and stroke

At rated thrust, the thruster shall be capable of extending from the initial position to the end position within the specified time, and operate continuously for 15 minutes at the rated operating frequency without any abnormal phenomena. The stroke shall conform to the rated value with a tolerance of ±5%.For the BYT1 Load Spring Series thrusters, the device shall extend from the initial position to the end position under the load thrust (calculated as rated thrust minus spring braking force), and run continuously for 15 minutes at the rated operating frequency. No abnormal phenomena shall occur during the test, and the stroke deviation shall not exceed ±5% of the rated stroke.

Temperature Rise of Actuator

Under ambient air temperature not exceeding +40 °C, rated voltage, rated load, and S1 continuous duty cycle, the temperature rise of the actuator housing shall not exceed 70 K.

Power supply voltage fluctuation

When the supply voltage fluctuates between 85% and 110% of the rated value (at rated frequency), the thruster's output thrust shall not be less than the rated thrust, and the push rod shall be able to extend to the rated stroke under rated load.For the BYT1 Load Spring Series thrusters, under the load thrust (calculated as rated thrust minus spring braking force), the push rod shall still be able to extend to the rated stroke when the supply voltage fluctuates between 85% and 110% of the rated value (at rated frequency).

Key Design Requirements for Explosion-Proof Structure

In the structural design of the matched motor for this thruster series, full consideration is given to preventing the ignition of external explosive mixtures in the event of an internal explosion caused by the intrusion of explosive mixtures.Therefore, three critical conditions for ensuring explosion-proof performance are strictly controlled:1.Mechanical strength of the motor housing. 2.Length and gap dimensions of the explosion-proof mating surfaces of each housing component. 3.Temperature limitation of the housing surface
