Product Overview

Working Principle of SB (YQP) Series Hydraulic Caliper Disc Brakes: This series adopts a normally closed design, where braking is actuated by the force exerted by specially engineered disc springs, and release is achieved via hydraulic actuation. When pressure is supplied by the hydraulic system, it pushes the piston to overcome the spring force of the disc springs, causing the brake caliper to open and enabling the brake disc to rotate freely. When hydraulic pressure is relieved or drops, the disc springs rebound elastically, pushing the brake pads to clamp the brake disc tightly, thus generating friction torque and fulfilling the braking function. The braking force range varies across different models of the SB (YQP) series. For instance, the SB (YQP) 160 model has a braking force range of 72 kN–220 kN. Multiple specifications of compatible brake disc diameters are available to meet the requirements of different equipment; the SB (YQP) 160, for example, is suitable for brake discs with a diameter of ≥ 1,800 mm.
